Za Beau can take this contest at the expense of Alto Stratus and I'm Your Man. Jim Goldie's mare won well at the track earlier in the year and was far from disgraced when attempting to follow up at Perth next time out. A small blunder did her no favours on that occasion though its worth noting that she has the proverbial mile clear of the third placed runner, Earl Sigurd. Alto Stratus has to be respected as a very rare Alan Swinbank runner at the track. The mare hasn't shown a lot so supporters are backing on the basis of stable form alone. I'm Your Man is often the subject of well placed support. The grey has appalling form figures of late but that shouldn't put you off if money is seen in the betting ring for him. Woody Valentine looks to be on the downgrade these days. Fred Bojangls won a poor Sedgefield race in May though he has exhibited a tendancy to burst blood vessels. Athollbrose is ordinary. Night Reveller bids to make it 48th time lucky. Za Beau has exhibited an ability to win around here so we award her the vote on this occasion.
