In depth

Verdict

Saddling half of the six-strong field, local handler Jimmy Moffatt must be confident of picking up some decent prize money. Morning Royalty followed up a victory at Kelso with another over hurdles here in May. Stablemate Munsaab has won his last two over the larger obstacles but the mare is best watched on her return to chasing having shown little over hurdles recently. ALDERBROOK LAD was more like his old self over track and trip in May. Today’s slightly better ground will suit and the dual course winner can pick up the winning thread again, though Lofgren is in good form and won’t go down without a fight despite another 3lb rise.
