Brave Chief has claims and gets the vote over Ballybunion, New Options, Maluti and Xanadu. The final race on the card is really no easier to predict than the rest, but at least Brave Chief has recent winning form to his name, having scored in first-time blinkers at Southwell three weeks ago. He again ran well with the aids to finish third there next time despite a wide draw and a penalty, so hopes are high that he can last home over this shorter trip. Roy Bowring's charge is taken to make all at the expense of some out-of-form individuals. Ballybunion has the widest draw of all and has not shown much since February, but New Options has been placed twice this month and could make the frame again. Maluti won on fast ground at Brighton last year and was unlucky in running at Yarmouth recently on what was only his second outing in six months. He can go well, while the market may tell us which of Linda Perrett's veterans to side with, Friar Tuck or Xanadu. All in all, the best claims are held by Brave Chief, and he can come out on top at the end of a tricky card.
