Verdict

Grattan Lodge won well at Newcastle when defeating This Thyne by an easy two and a half lengths gelding by Roselier won with plenty in hand and he is the TEAMtalk selection with his stable continuing in good form. Tony The Piler rates the main danger he was a fair third on his debut this season behind The Merry Mason who has since franked the form and the talented Gino Carenza takes the mount. Lord Of The Loch was a fair fourth behind A Few Bob Back in a better race but he may struggle under his big weight. Seasmith is from a top yard but he looks weighted up to his best and the market the may give the best guide as to what is expected. Paddy Maguire is a nine year old but he is very lightly raced and if he can improve on his latest third behind Shannon's Pride he could easily be involved in the finish off what looks a fair mark
