In depth

Verdict

Rose d'April is taken to open his account over hurdles at the first time of asking. The gelding by April Night is held in high regard at home and he was thought good enough to take his chance at the Cheltenham Festival by his shrewd trainer and he is the TEAMtalk selection. Trivial rates the main danger despite top weight he is proven on the ground and was a fair third behind Sir Lamb at Hexham last time. Seasquill was a fair performer on the flat in Austria and he is from a yard that is beginning to hit top form. The gelding also made a pleasing debut over hurdles when fourth behind Ambushed at Ayr and he is sure to have benefited for the experience. My Line has been in fair form on the flat of late and although he disappointed over hurdles on his only run his stable was out of form and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected.Welsh March has been chasing of late and may just be having a run here after a heavy fall to get his confidence back. Of the others Bob The Piler is from a yard in good form and he could run well at a big price. The remainder have shown little and will probably improve for the experience.
