This could be a good opportunity for Foolish Groom to get his head in front and he is nominated ahead of Thornaby Green and Dispol Veleta. Reg Hollinshead's 6-year-old looks to be on a handy mark at present and he ran a blinder from a poor draw last time. If he can reproduce that effort today then he should take plenty of stopping. Thornaby Green does not win very often but he would be a live danger to our selection if he decides to put his best foot forward here. However, he has been off the track since December and he may be sharper for the run. Dispol Veleta ran a solid race on her seasonal return at Hamilton last time when fourth behind Tsaroxy, and with that run under her belt she should be thereabouts at the finish. Moonstreaker got off the mark at the 12th attempt at Southwell back in December and now that he has discovered how to win a race he could be of interest. However, Foolish Groom showed enough last time to make him the one to beat today.
