It was 2005 the last time a favourite obliged in this famous old handicap and this year's renewal looks as wide-open as ever. Previous modest efforts at a mile do not boost confidence in the chances of He's No Saint while stablemate Dubai Hills would prefer more cut in the ground. But Boonga Roogeta remains on a winning mark, despite a further 4lb rise for winning at Chelmsford, and Ginger Jack is not badly treated upped 5lb for his recent win at Thirsk when Trinity Star finished third. Ifwecan and Our Boy Jack have both slipped down the weights of late while a case can be made for both Altharoos and Karaka Jack but ART OBSESSION (NAP) gets the nod. David Barron's lightly-raced charge made a promising return at Ayr last month and is well worth another try over this longer trip having won over 7f at Musselburgh last year.
