This looks as competitive as ever and David O’Meara runs three with jockey bookings suggesting Hard To Handel is favoured ahead of Jacbequick, who is best at Beverley and Alejandro, who was third behind Kalk Bay at Musselburgh earlier this month. The latter should go well again raised only 3lb while the veteran Dubai Dynamo remains on a winning mark despite carrying 6lb extra for scoring at Hamilton a week ago. Keith Dalgleish also runs three with Edgar Balthazar preferred of those as he drops in class while Lavetta won a higher grade handicap over 7f at Doncaster last time. Glenalmond is preferred to stablemate Yourartisonfire and Woody Bay returned to winning ways at York last time. GINGER JACK was given a lot to do when only sixth in last year’s renewal but is 2lb lower today despite winning under David Allen at Thirsk last month. Garry Moss’ charge could go close and gets the vote.
