Verdict

Knocknamona has won seven times over fences including a similar race at this fixture in 2019 off a higher mark than here despite going up 8lb for a very easy victory at Newcastle. Tico Times has also been successful over track and trip though is looking on a high enough mark nowadays but MASSINI MAN (NAP) has got a new lease of life since joining Sandy Thompson. A winner over the trip at Musselburgh, he returned there last month for a facile victory over three miles where he went well clear. Winning bumper Eyre Square hasn't been placed in three starts over fences but did better at Down Royal and his trainer has been in top form in Ireland. Paddy The Horse completed a double over hurdles before falling on his chasing debut at Ayr.
