A cosy winner here in April, Burrows Hall bled from the nose when pulled up at Hexham two weeks later. He’s still at the right end of the handicap and remains relatively unexposed in handicaps but is held by ENEMY AT THE GATE on Newcastle running last season and it’s about time the latter was shedding his maiden tag. Kilbrainy looks a big danger having broken his duck over a longer trip at Kelso earlier this month but Irish import Milajess showed little on a first run for a new yard. Serious Ego isn’t getting any younger but Ring Of Beara is only four and is fit from the Flat while Prince Nino has won twice at Perth this year.
