Verdict
Confide gets the confident vote in this competitive handicap with Gifted Flame and Champain Sands rating the main dangers. The selection won well at Catterick last time out when beating Ya Late Maite with plenty in hand. Granted he has a penalty for that win but he still has scope for improvement and with this stiff track likely to suit he will be very hard to beat. Gifted Flame rates the main danger on his latest fifth behind Bridgewater Boys. He is sure to have come on for the run but he looks weighted up to his best and is passed over for that reason. Champain Sands is another that could go well as he looks fairly handicapped on his best form and looks sure to have the race run to suit, but this hold-up performer needs everything to fall just right and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Linden's Lady is game and consistent and is sure to run her race while Son Of Thunder loves the track and could go well at a price, but Confide looks sure to improve again and he gets the confident vote.
