Divine Spirit, Baron Rhodes and Trick Cyclist are the three to shortlist here, and Divine Spirit can win this contest. Baron Rhodes shoulders top weight for John Wainwright and he must go well. He got within a neck of Artie at Beverley last time, and this uphill finish will suit him. He was a winner earlier in the summer but the top weight may just find him out. Mick Easterby¿s Trick Cyclist was made favourite at Newcastle last time and looked the likely winner before being collared on the line. He has finished in the first two in his last four runs and must go close. For the selection though we turn to Divine Spirit. He has been running consistently all season and deserves to pick up a race. His last run at Beverley was a case in point, meeting trouble in running and staying on well in the closing stages to finish third. Granted a clear run, Divine Spirit can prove himself to be well handicapped.
