restless in stalls, awkward start, in rear, in touch, ridden over 2f out, never on terms
tracked leaders, ridden 2f out, edged right and well held final furlong
well away, made all, pushed along 2f out, ridden and hung right inside last, ran on well, unchallenged
handy, ridden over 2f out and soon dropped away tamely
reluctant to load, dwelt, towards rear, pushed along and went 3rd 2f out, ridden over 1f out, no impression
prominent, pushed along 2f out, kept on inside last, no match for winner
Nothing is confidently ruled out but SLAINTE MHATH took the step-up to Class 4 with aplomb last time and it's all of question of how long she can resist the attentions of the handicapper. She did look to win with something in hand at Hamilton and is worth sticking with in an admittedly better race off a higher mark. Sophia's Starlight boasts similar credentials and impressed with the nature of her all-the-way win at Newmarket last month. A career-high mark of 80 is a challenge but there's every reason to believe she'll be competitive again. May Blossom may need to come down a few pounds and Happier is hard to fathom on the back of success in a modest Redcar maiden. Georgiava is back from a 250-day break, so Cashew and Roshambo look more likely with the latter preferred of the pair.
May Blossom 17-2 (9-4) In touch in rear, ridden over 1f out, stayed on towards finish, 3rd of 7, 1 1/4l behind The Big Board (9-11) at Doncaster 5f hcp fll (4) gf in Jul.
Slainte Mhath 5-2jfav (9-7) Prominent, led over 2f out, edged right over 1f out, clear final furlong, eased towards finish, won at Hamilton 6f hcp (4) gs in Jul beating Ramon Di Loria (9-13) by 2 1/2l, 9 ran.
Sophia's Starlight (FR) 7-4fav (9-8) Made all, ridden over 1f out, ran on, won at Newmarket 6f hcp fll (5) gd in Jun beating Just Janet (9-7) by 1 3/4l, 10 ran.
Cashew (IRE) 28-1 (9-10) Chased leaders near side of group, ridden over 1f out, soon went 2nd, every chance inside final furlong, lost 2nd towards finish, 3rd of 11, 3/4l behind Vape (9-6) at Chepstow 6f hcp (5) gs in May.
Roshambo 10-3 (9-9) Restless in stalls, dwelt, mid-division, pushed along and headway to chase leader well over 1f out, stayed on one pace, 3rd of 7, 1 1/4l behind Hello Me (9-11) at Kempton 6f hcp fll (5) pol in Jun.
Georgiava 12-1 (9-4) Prominent, pushed along over 2f out, weakening when short of room approaching final furlong, 9th of 12, 12 1/4l behind Harry's Halo (8-12) at Doncaster 6f (4) hvy in Nov.
Happier (IRE) 2-1fav (9-0) Quickly away, led on far rail, narrowly headed halfway, led again over 1f out, ridden and ran on well, won at Redcar 6f mdn stks (5) gf in May beating Rooska (9-7) by 1 1/4l, 8 ran.
