        Verdict

        Strong Hand has a chance off this mark and is given the benefit of the doubt to get the better of top weight Lytham. The in-form Blue Patrick is respected but has more to do under his penalty in this company. Beauty Of Dreams stood plenty of racing last season and has place claims on the pick of her efforts. Tony Culhane has won on her before and she is one to watch in the betting market. Lytham has not been rushed since he arrived from Ireland last November but now appears to adapted well to his new surroundings. A close up effort at Pontefract from last month reads well in the context of this race. And he should make a bold bid despite his burden at the weights. However, Strong Hand is now 16lb below his last winning mark and edges the vote on these terms. Mick Easterby has made a bright start to the campaign and can pick up again with this tough individual, who is too hard to ignore now that he has got the benefit of race-fitness on his side.
