A dreadful race in which NAVAL ATTACHE is our idea of the winner with More Like It and Shelomoh on the list of alternatives. The selection ran respectably enough at the weekend in a similarly dire affair and while this race is another modest contest, we can be sure that he is performing to a consistent if not admittedly high level. More Like It was pulled up when favourite for a better contest at Sedgefield. The tonguestrap is applied this afternoon although he did not exhibit much improvement for it on a previous attempt. Shelemoh would have preferred the ground to be softer than it actually will be, There is every chance that he may have needed his first run back for almost a year. Storm Surge could well start as favourite. A possible front runner, if he gets into a good rhythm, he may be difficult to peg back. Panthers Run does not win often though could not be discounted from rattling into the places at what are likely to be decent odds. A race that won't live too long in the memory and Naval Attache is the selection to the most minimal of confidence levels.
