A decent little handicap, where Robbo may just provide the answer, difficult though he is to catch right, with Man On The Hill and course and distance winners Kerry Lads and Lisdante also worth consideration. Not a horse to follow over the years, Robbo has flattered to deceive and also looked a difficult ride. However, there is no doubt that he has ability, handles good ground well and should just about get this trip on it, so from a mark off which he has run plenty of decent races before and with a decent pipe opener under his belt, he can click here. The last time we saw Man On The Hill in public he finished second, beaten 13 lengths off level weights by the top class Valley Henry. Off the course for over 18 months since then, there are clearly questions about how fit he will be first time up. If he is fit, then he will take plenty of beating, but as Ferdy Murphy has been saying that it has been difficult for him to get them fully wound up on account of the lack of rain, then he may be best watched this time. Both Kerry Lads and Lisdante have won over track and trip and come from very capable yards. The former makes his first start since the Scottish National, and would ideally like some cut, while Lisdante is certainly not the most consistent performer, as evidenced by his display at Chepstow last time. Nevertheless, if that pair were fit and firing they could also have a big say in the outcome here, but we prefer to stick with Robbo.
