Michael Dods won this last year and his newcomer Ramsbottom is bred to be speedy, though the yard is in the doldrums at present. Karl Burke’s two-year-olds have yet to really hit form but his juveniles have a good strike-rate here and Barasti Dancer is a half-brother to seven winners. Eljayeff is another debutant to note while Lorton stayed on late at Thirsk and Rockin Roy found only one too good at Ripon after winning at Beverley and might enjoy the return to a stiffer track. YOUSINI ran green at Hamilton but still picked up nicely to score. There is more to come and he can defy his penalty.
