John Caesar’s fourth at Beverley looks the best recent form on offer but his two wins at that track last year came on ground with plenty of give. Any market interest in the returning First Sargeant would have to be taken seriously but Ayr third Zihaam is now 0-12 and Chiswick Bey has not won on Turf outside of selling company since 2015. Mr C and Pindaric lack a recent run but do have each-way claims on past form, though it’s the booking of Paul Hanagan for MRS ANGEL that catches the eye. David Loughnane’s filly is lightly raced and has been much improved since last year. She competes in this off a plater’s mark.
