Verdict
SIR TANTALLUS HAWK is dropped in class and comes out best at the weights. He landed an all-weather bumper in February and, though he never looked like winning, his form in a couple of handicaps over hurdles since is better than anything today's rivals have mustered. Marino Prince won a seller at Catterick last month and can be given a chance on that evidence, but Wee Giant has been beaten out of sight since winning in plating company at Leicester in November. Long Distance may figure on the best of last year's efforts but it's hard to make a case for any of the others.
