Verdict

KINGS GREY is a model of consistency but has a poor strike-rate and connections still seem undecided about his best trip. However, he had the clumsy Lidar well behind when runner-up to Lucky Landing at Doncaster last time and a repeat of that run could see him end a frustrating run of placed efforts. Charminster beat a subsequent winner over this trip at Musselburgh on his chasing debut before finding the company too hot over further in a couple of races at Cheltenham. He was beaten again back over 2m at Carlisle last time, however, and is best watched here. Captain Paulie has plenty to find on his three starts in this country and Flichity looks out of his depth.
