Verdict

Jupon Vert is far from the stable star at Paul Nicholls¿ yard but he is probably still well-treated at the moment and is given the nod in a trappy handicap. With softer ground forecast, Nephite enters the reckoning. He was in great form on a similar surface last year but the handicapper did take due action. Now back to a winning mark and with his stable in top form, a bold show is anticipated from this likable individual. City Gent will like the surface although it is quite some time since he managed to win a race. The step back to two miles should suit and he could run well at big odds. Micky Hammond sent out a decent winner earlier in the week and the booking of Tony Dobbin could be significant aboard Elvis Reigns. With the Reveley team out of form, June¿s Pride is given the miss. Kaduoko and Looking Forward have been well beaten on previous starts and are also passed over.
