In depth

Verdict

The Green Hat is suggested here with Cybora, Cavers Glen and Mrs O'Malley some of the likelier alternatives. Richard Ford has his team in great order at present and that's a significant factor in siding with The Green Hat. He has been pulled up on both starts since joining this yard but a reproduction of the form that saw him finish third to Royal County Star at Fairyhouse in April would be good enough to win this. Cybora has plenty of experience in France under her belt but failed to win there and has been well held in three starts over hurdles for her new yard. She may fare better over fences and is with the right yard to be found a suitable opening. Cavers Glen made the frame a couple of times over hurdles and showed enough on occasion to suggest that he could play a role on this stage if he takes to jumping fences. Mrs O'Malley is another potential player as she may be better served by this drop in trip but she may have to settle for a bit part and The Green Hat is taken to play the lead.
