The likes of Haulage Lady and Laura's Lady are expected to put up a fight in what should be a competitive contest, but our selection goes the way of FIFTH AMENDMENT. The three-year-old gelding is a rather modest sort who looks to be improving with racing since his return to action back in April. The step up in trip for his last outing brought about a much better performance and a similar effort over the 7f today should see him take the honours. Laura's Lady had got her career off to a fair start by winning a weak maiden at Redcar in May, but ran moderately when tackling handicap company for the first time on the same course later that month. Her most recent effort was more in keeping with her debut effort though and if things fall her way she should make the minors. Haulage Lady has been a little inconsistent throughout her career and is a little hard to predict, but any improvement on her last outing should see her do well. Of the remainder Paint Splash and Ask Dan should do best but should be of no concern to our selection, Fifth Amendment.
