In depth

Verdict

REAR ADMIRAL only beat The Backup Plan by three lengths at Musselburgh in November and Donald McCain's charge is 6lb better off here, though he returns from a break along with Dystonia's Revenge so we'll stick with the top weight to get back to winning ways. Brother Scott was beaten 12 lengths off this mark at Wetherby on Friday and may find this coming too soon. Ghost Of A Smile was beaten a long way when second at Stratford and it's a couple of years since he showed any worthwhile form. Pay The King was second here last month but has disappointed in a couple of starts since.
