The course and distance winners Joely Green and Flying Spirit could dominate this amateur event, with the former getting the nod. Knowledge of this track counts for a lot and Joely Green's rider, trainer's wife Emma Littmoden, has a pretty good strike rate this year. The two mentioned horses plus March Alone are the three highest-rated in this race. The Amanda Perrett-trained filly must come into the reckoning given that she is lightly-raced and is open to improvement. However, Joely Green, who won this race last year, is nominated as the most-likely winner.
