Verdict
Just five to post and SUMERIAN is our idea of the most likely winner with Plus Ultra and Officer Lily put up as dangers. Sir Mark Prescott's charge has looked a little green on two starts but she was unlucky to come up against a decent type at Kempton and compensation awaits Plus Ultra is the benchmark for the handicapper. He seems able at middle distances though the number of seconds could question as to how willing he is. Officer Lily is respected from the John Best yard. This is quite a lowbrow debut for the American bred filly so the market has to be watched. Bitter Fortune appears in need of further while Tower does not look good enough. It will be interesting to see what pace they go in this race but Sumerian seems to have all the ticks in the right boxes.
Formwatch
Bitter Fortune (USA) 8-1 (9-3) Slowly into stride, behind, still plenty to do when ridden on outside well over 1f out, strong run inside final furlong, went 3rd near finish, 3rd of 11, 7l behind Sarrsar (9-3) at Lingfield 1m 3yo mdn stks (5) pol.
Plus Ultra (IRE) 5-1 (9-2) Held up towards rear, not much room over 2f out, switched left when not much room over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong, went 2nd towards finish, 2nd of 12, 3l behind Onyx Of Arabia (8-13) at Windsor 1m 2f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) gd.
Tower 66-1 (8-10) Slowly into stride, in rear, never a factor, 8th of 10, 11l behind Centurio (9-3) at Newmarket 1m 2f 3yo mdn (4) gf.

Sumerian 7-1 (8-12) Tracked leading pair, chased winner from 2f out, edged left well over 1f out, no impression, clear 2nd best, 2nd of 13, 6l behind Mirror Lake (8-12) at Kempton 1m 2f mdn stks (5) pol.
