Golden Wedding won here in October and again at Kempton last month though his best run was his latest when just beaten in a higher grade contest. WORDISMYBOND has been raised 7lb for winning a Class 6 handicap here earlier in the month but did it in style and has won from higher marks in the past so gets the vote. This will be George Baker's 60th start but he's never run here. He's invariably thereabouts on fast ground and Polytrack at this sort of level and should get into the mix. He's My Boy was disqualified after finishing first past the post in a Newmarket handicap last summer but bounced back to form at Nottingham three weeks ago and has a chance in this with just 4lb extra to carry. Lord Reason has yet to win a race and though going close at Nottingham last time could have done without a 2lb rise in the weights.
Wordismybond 5-1 (9-7) Took keen hold, tracked leader until halfway, prominent, 2nd again going well over 1f out, shaked up to lead inside final furlong, soon clear, won at Brighton 1m hcp (6) gf in May beating Harry Bosch (8-9) by 2 1/2l, 8 ran.
George Baker (IRE) 12-1 (9-13) Chased clear leader, headway on inner over 1f out, soon joined winner, unable to quicken near finish, 2nd of 8, 3/4l behind Space War (9-9) at Lingfield 7f hcp (5) pol in May.
He's My Boy (IRE) 4-1 (9-5) Keen held up, headway 3f out, gradually taken to outer from over 2f out, led over 1f out, ridden and hung right final furlong, ran on, won at Nottingham 1m hcp (6) gf in May beating Mr Cool Cash (9-6) by 1 1/2l, 8 ran.
Lord Reason 11-2 (9-7) Keen close up in chasing group, headway over 1f out, ridden and every chance inside final furlong, no extra near finish, 2nd of 6, 1/2l behind Charles De Mille (8-10) at Nottingham 1m hcp (6) gf in May.
