        Verdict

        Jammy Moment's second at Hamilton was a decent enough effort in context for a race like this and a vast improvement on recent runs. Tourtiere kept on for pressure when third at Thirsk while San Cassiano was second over track and trip two runs ago, though has done all of his winning over shorter. Gunner Lindley has never won beyond a mile and not since 2013, though has been placed countless times over hurdles. SIRPERTAN recorded his only win off a similar mark at Newcastle two years ago and can double his tally after a couple of fair efforts in decent company over timber lately.
