MONKS STAND was undoubtedly unlucky in-running here earlier this month and made amends at Lingfield a few days later. Both of those runs were over an extra furlong but he has the pace for this and can defy a penalty. Ortano was 10l behind Jeremy Noseda's charge when both made their debuts at Lingfield in April but showed much more dash over 6f at Ripon where he led for a long way so expect him to finish closer. Zebspear has shown very good speed in both starts at Bath and Windsor and will be receiving 12lb from the selection taking his rider's claim into consideration. Princess Holly is a real speed merchant but so far has been unable to keep up the pace.
