Summers Target has gradually improved so far this year and Prince Valentine is a course and distance winner but our tentative selection is FOXTROT BRAVO ahead of Bere Davis. After running over further recently it is interesting to see he is dropped back to seven furlongs. He has weakened over the greater distances after making a lot of the running and with connections dropping him back in trip here this catches the eye so we very cautiously side with him here. Summers Target is bred for this sort of trip and although towards the higher end of the weights he could pose dangers to our pick. Prince Valentine who runs in the cheek-pieces has won here before but has gone backwards of late and although only officially a pound higher than his last winning mark there is little confidence he can deliver today. Bere Davis does not offer an alternative on recent form so we avoid him. Instead, we give the nod to Foxtrot Bravo.
