In depth

Verdict

A small field but plenty in with a chance namely Balik Pearls, Persian Express, Emerites Sevens and Beckett Hall with the vote going to the last named. Beckett Hall ran with credit at Epsom last time out even though he looked as thought he track did not suit him as he looked a little unbalanced on a number of occasions. Brighton is often resembled as being a very similar track with the camber and if able to handle the switch back track with its undulations he will take all the beating. Persian Express will pose as the biggest danger as he pulled too hard last time out and failed to see out the trip. He will be suited by this drop in trip and is worth noting. As is newcomer Emirates Sevens who is nicely bred and come from a stable in form. Balik Pearls is the other to look out for as he was only beaten three lengths on his debut and should improve. But for the winner we return to Beckett Hall.
