HASSAAD won a maiden here by 9l before finding Spirited Guest just too good at Wolverhampton. He looks the type to go on to better things and a mark of 72 looks workable. Spanish Star showed his liking for soft ground when beating The Lamplighter a head over the trip at Bath and they meet on the same terms with jockey claims taken into consideration. Wiley Post has managed to win five times including around here though never on ground this soft but King Crimson has won five times from nine starts on the track including on good to soft so he has to be a threat.
