Verdict

Modern British Art is penalised for his victory at Bath which came on very fast ground. Bavardages didn't perform badly at Southwell on his debut and though finishing almost last in a huge field in a lucrative sales race at Newmarket this is a big drop in class. SILVER SAMURAI has had both runs on the all-weather, showing potential at Wolverhampton before an unlucky run at Chelmsford. Both were over 7f but today's conditions should suit and he can get off the mark. Sunset Breeze has an almost identical profile having just failed to hold San Rafael over 7f at Wolverhampton so there should be little between the pair. Santorini Sal ran her best race to date on good to soft at Chepstow and her allowance plus jockey's claim should enable her to go close.
