Verdict

Blue Knight was not helped by a bad draw last time but has suffered at the hands of the handicapper and looks worth taking on which we do with Tapa, who is preferred to Kennington. The last mentioned has claims on the pick of his form but may now be a shade high in the weights and is probably best passed over. Parkside Pursuit is a consistent performer and should again run his usual race but may be booked for a place at best once more, while Imperium has claims on recent evidence but would probably want a faster surface. Bold Cheverak has been held off similar marks of late and of more interest may be Semenovskii although he is another that would not want any further rain. The vote then goes to Tapa, who encounters a softer surface for the first time since landing her maiden in March and has since slipped to a fair mark.
