    Verdict

Bella Miranda opened her account when landing a course and distance handicap on fast ground last month but a 10lb rise since and today's faster surface makes Hugh Morrison's filly one to oppose and preference is for Fisby, who gets the vote over Blackmail. The last mentioned goes well on this type of track and is only 4lbs higher than when scoring at Epsom three starts ago so has to be respected. Top weight Tight Squeeze remains a shade high in the handicap, while Perfidious would probably prefer a faster surface. Loch Quest has claims with the stable of Amanda Perrett in such good form but it is hard to get away from the claims of Fisby. Sylvester Kirk's gelding can race off the same mark as when successful in an apprentices' handicap at Newbury last time and provided that he handles the ground, and he should do on pedigree, then the four-year-old looks worth a bet to follow up.
