Castara Bay deserves to win a race having been placed on several occasions but Richard Hannon's colt is proving to be expensive to follow and this looks likely to be between Cactus Rose and Know The Law, with preference for the latter of the duo. The selection stepped up on his debut effort when beaten by the narrowest of margins in a Beverley maiden last month. David Elsworth's gelding found trouble in running that day and was hampered by the third late on as well so can be considered a winner without a penalty so is taken to gain a deserved success here. Corlough Mountain has only once been out of the frame in five starts but may have to settle for a minor role again, while Laish Ya Hajar is similarly exposed and is another worth being left out of calculations. Henry Cecil's newcomer Final Overture is bred to be useful but faces no easy task on her debut against Know The Law, who is taken to gain a deserved first success.
