Count Ceprano won so easily at Goodwood on Saturday that he must have every chance of following up from the same mark in this more competitive race but Ivory Lace, Woodcote Place, Mount Hermon and Moonlight Man are all viable alternatives. Mark Usher's charge was winning for the first time on grass and for the first time beyond a mile at the weekend but scored going away and is clearly in rude health. His high draw isn't such a concern given that he's a hold-up horse, David Probert is in the plate again and this tough character is taken to record back to back successes. Moonlight Man is well treated on his old form but everything went his way at Beverley last time and he can be taken on in this better race with Mount Hermon also opposable given his overall profile despite an impressive success at Great Leighs last time. Bobski has never found winning easy but comes here in good heart as does Ivory Lace who ran better than the bare form at Goodwood as she enjoyed no luck in running; she's won three times here and is on a decent mark. Woodcote Place also endured traffic problems in the same Goodwood contest and had been running well enough prior to that to be rated a danger but is passed over by Munro and Crowley who have been on board for his last four starts. Alan Munro's mount, Perfect Treasure, has only ever won here but will need a career best if she's to scoop this big pot. David Probert has yet to ride a winner here but a bit of luck can see that change this afternoon and he's taken to steer Count Ceprano home.
