Jemiliah may prove to be the answer to this tricky puzzle with last year's winner, Recalcitrant, and Hawk House figuring amongst the dangers. The selection was given too much to do by a promising claimer at Yarmouth last time but she has Seb Sanders on board today and there are few jockeys around who ride this track better than the reigning champion. She appears to have found some improvement of late and should be finishing strongly if she handles the cambers. Nightspot usually makes the running and has to be of interest here but his yard is still struggling for form and that has to be a major cause for concern. Recalcitrant isn't in great form at present but wasn't in great form coming into last year's race and is 5lbs lower so merits a second look. Hawk House has been running well enough but appears to lack a finishing kick and the fairly consistent Gracechurch is on a lengthy losing run. Spanish Diva is in good form but was due to run at Windsor on Monday night so it's best to wait to see how she fares there whilst Sabre Light's penalty may put this prize beyond his reach. A tight handicap with Jemiliah getting the nod.
