Verdict

We've confined our short-list to Bundle Up, Sir Liam and Danish Monarch although, in truth, it could be a good deal longer. The first named is selected. She has her first run for a new yard this afternoon following a career best performance to finish second in a Windsor seller. The Monmouthshire based trainer is a canny sort with an excellent strike rate at this level with his older horses and is sure to place her to advantage sooner rather than later whilst the rare booking of Richard Hughes also takes the eye. Sir Liam has no easy task at the weights but he has experience of the track, is in fair form and drops in grade. Danish Monarch probably ran a little better than the finishing positions at Bath suggest as he only tired close home. This trip is further than ideal but the free running sort should give it a decent try from the front. Market support for Rock Me would bring him into the equation and the unexposed Ask Nicely hinted at ability last time so is worth a second look. A fair few others have the form to figure too but we'll take a chance with Bundle Up.
