Hard To Catch and Mammas F-C have claims on their recent form but Turibius caught the eye in defeat here earlier in the week and gets the vote. Richard Hughes had to sit and suffer on the selection in the race won by Whistler on Tuesday, switching right inside the final furlong and finishing strongly. Granted a clear run, the son of Puisaance would certainly have won that day and, off the same mark over the same course and distance, he has obvious claims. Hard To Catch races off the same mark as when third behind Texas Gold at Bath last time and, along with recent course second Mammas F-C, has to be respected. Leicester winner Guns Blazing and Alpen Wolf, who finished in front of the selection midweek, are others to consider but Turibius is strongly fancied to recoup Tuesday's losses.
