Matthew Salaman's Monashee Rock won well enough over course and distance last month but a 5lb rise for a half length success looks harsh for her and a better bet may be MR HARMOOSH, who gets the verdict with Fire King rated the best of the best. The selection deserves to get his head in front having found one too good in each of his last two starts including here over 1m2f in May and he looks worth backing to go one better today dropped to a mile having run well over the trip at Yarmouth on his most recent start in a competitive classified stakes race. Jim Best's Cordell has a bit to find with Monashee Rock on running last time, while Lady Florence ran well here on her most recent start on the level but was very disappointing over hurdles recently. Inquisitress is capable but inconsistent and of more interest may be the Andy Haynes-trained Fire King, who has shown improved form of late and comes from a stable in good heart now. Mr Harmoosh has an obvious chance on recent form though and he looks worth siding with to gain a deserved success.
