Verdict

The one-eyed Stagecoach Ruby returns to the scene of her latest win and might just provide the answer to this seven-furlong contest, with Heathyards Joy seen as her biggest danger. The selection was trained by Mark Johnston when winning over course and distance back in June of last year and, while she has not exactly cut a dash since then, might just have another big day in her. Fayr Firenze has little in the way of form on Turf and is arguably better at six furlongs. Brother Cadfael finished four lengths behind Fary Firenze at Warwick last time, but was backed and clearly expected to do better so a form reversal would not be the biggest surprise. However, Heathyards Joy finished ahead of both of them when beaten a head by the winner and she looks set to go well again. For us, then, the fillies look set to dominate, with Stagecoach Ruby possibly getting the better of things.
