Verdict

The selection here is Adjiram, with Haunt The Zoo nominated to chase him home. Much as he is no world-beater, Adjiram will not have to be to win this modest heat. He has been running reasonably well over hurdles and on the all-weather to warrant a second look here, and we think he ought to go close. Recent Wolverhampton all-weather winner, Haunt The Zoo, hasn't raced on Turf since the year 2000 but at least comes here in good heart so could chase the selection home. Newcorp showed some improved form when third to Beauteous at this trip last time, but the other pair are difficult to build a case for. Overall, then, Adjiram looks the one to be on, even though official ratings suggest he has something to find.
