This is a very tight heat with Timbuktu possibly the one to be on ahead of Leophin Dancer, Bunino Ven and Moyne Pleasure. The selection is lightly raced and showed improved from when stepped up to 13 furlongs at Ayr last time. Much as he does not have any experience of this type of track, he might be able to overcome that and, with some improvement likely, ought to go well. Leophin Dancer is turned out quickly following a slightly disappointing defeat at Lingfield last time. Much as he has never won on Turf on the Flat, he has won on the all-weather and over hurdles on good to firm and, overall, his form puts him firmly in the picture. As he stays two miles, he should have plenty of use made of him and that might just hold the key to a good run. Moyne Pleasure ran well for a long way last time over two miles, suggesting that the drop in trip might bring about further improvement. Buz Kiri has won twice on the all-weather this year, but has recorded no career successes on Turf. However, he put in a reasonable effort over 10 furlongs on good to soft at Chepstow last time and should give you a shout for your money. Bunino Ven could be interesting because he is related to a number of middle-distance winners but has yet to be tried at this trip. His best previous run came with the aid of a first-time visor and blinkers are fitted for the first-time today, so it would be no surprise to see him go well.
