Inch By Inch is chasing a hat-trick and has to be rated a threat to all, however Flaran and Redwood star are the two we like the look of and we will side with Flaran. James Toller's five-year-old was most impressive on his seasonal debut when beating a group of much fitter handicappers. He was expected to step up on that performance next time at Folkestone but lost his chance when slipping in the stalls. So long as he doesn't suffer any similar mishaps today he should go very close. Inch By Inch in fact beat the selection at Goodwood last season, however Flaran does have a big weight pull and may be able to reverse the form. Redwood Star meanwhile has to come into the argument on his course and distance victory here in June. Best of the remainder could be recent winner Coranglais, but off today's mark Flaran is expected to return to winning ways.
