        Verdict

        Light Of Asia went to Ffos Las with what looked a favourite's chance after two fine runs over a mile but didn't appear to handle the soft ground or the longer trip. Bennelong rarely runs on Turf these days and is better on Polytrack though rated the same. Whitby Jet hasn't won on Turf for three years so it's MINSTREL LAD who is given the nod. He likes a bit of cut in the ground so connections will be hoping it doesn't dry up and he wasn't beaten far over this trip on soft going at Newmarket last time. Darting faded in the closing stages when tackling this trip for the first time at Nottingham but has been given a chance by the assessor and looks a threat. Alphabetique failed to stay 1m4f last time and is better judged on earlier efforts over this trip.
