Andy Oliver, who has won this for the past two years, had plenty of entries at the early stage and relies on the newcomer Qat Flyer. Vocaliser has shown enough in two starts for Jim Bolger to ensure support, though he's failed to find a finishing burst and looks vulnerable again. Aidan O'Brien had five original entries and goes with SMUGGLER'S COVE, whose dam produced winners with her first two foals. He has numerous Group 1 entries and won't need to be anything special to make a successful start so gets the nod. Willie McCreery has his horses flying and Duke Ellington has a smart pedigree being a half-brother to a 6f Listed winner in France while Intransive is certain to have benefited from the experience of his debut at the Curragh. Looper made a very encouraging debut at Fairyhouse but flopped when well supported at Tipperary last month.
