Borderlescott got a good lead from a low draw to beat Masamah in last year's renewal. Drawn on the inside once again, he doesn't have much early pace around him this time and another former winner in TANGERINE TREES is preferred. The latter is drawn near to the speedy Minalisa and his latest run behind subsequent Nunthorpe winner Jwala gives him every chance on collateral form with the likes of York Glory and Caledonia Lady. Bryan Smart's charge will need to reverse latest running with stablemate Excelette, but the latter has a high draw to overcome and so does the highest rated horse in the race, Ballista, and the three-year-old Baileys Jubilee. Stepper Point arrives in good form but would appreciate some ease in the ground having beaten Inxile in a conditions race at Nottingham on his latest start.
