        Verdict

        It isn't surprising that Tim Easterby runs BOLLIN JOAN under a penalty as she came here last week for a handicap over the trip and made all for a facile victory. She'd been steadily improving in her previous outings on the track and she'll take the world of beating. Polar Forest won the first division of this last year on ground with some give and is a massive 18lb lower plus his rider's claim though he's been in very poor form and winning rider Joanna Mason deserts him for Aelius, who is 10lb lower than his only victory at Nottingham a year ago. Hilborough has the bonus of Serena Brotherton in the saddle and ran quite well here a couple of weeks ago while Becky Smith will need to ensure Rockliffe gets a test of stamina as her mount stays much further than this.
