In depth

Verdict

All bar Canardier won last time out and his narrow defeat by Causey Arch was a cracking effort. Willie Mullins trains that winner, who was entered at the early stage, but now relies on EXCHANGE RATE and Pakora and it's the former who looks the one to be on. Unbeaten in a bumper, on the Flat at this track and on his hurdling debut at Wexford where he overcame trouble in-running to see off One In All In, who has won subsequently, he has the scope to go on to much better things. His stable companion had some fair form on the Flat in France and though not fluent on her hurdling bow at Cork won with plenty of authority. Holding Pattern won easily on the Flat at Ballinrobe last week though she'll need to find a bit more on her hurdles form while the former point-to-pointer and hunter Das Mooser won a handicap chase at Limerick a couple of weeks ago but has never raced over hurdles.
